There is no doubt that Soulmates is known for our wines; Our 2008 Zinfandel seems to steal the hearts and taste buds of all whom encounter. Soulmates is known for the philanthropic work done for various charitable causes, most important the time and soul donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Founder, Agnes Bonpua-Alba (aka Aggie) started her philanthropic journey after the passing of her late brother, Louie Bonpua, who lost his battle with leukemia. During Louie’s treatment, Louie went on to run not only triathlons for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, he carried the 2002 Olympic torch in Salt Lake City. Not only was that an incredible feat to accomplish while battling leukemia but also an inspiration to all who watched.
Louie’s final request to Aggie to carry on his legacy in helping those who suffer from cancer find a cure, inspired Aggie to change the world one bottle of wine at a time. Aggie not only delivers on taste and quality wine, she herself is involved in Marathons benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Aggie holds events in her private residence where all proceeds go toward her cause, her mission, her passion.
September 2017, Taste for a Cure: An event by Soulmates Wines in which we raised money for struggling cancer patients to aid in medical costs, was launched and was highly successful. Over 2k was raised for our Patient of Honor.
October 26th 2017, Aggie was noticed nationally for her philanthropy, generosity and leadership in the Asian community. Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling recognized The Central Valley’s most inspirational women, Aggie was honored while her closet friends and family cheered on.
Soulmates is more than just Wine. Aggie is an inspiration to all.
